Undergrad

  • Software internships (Google, Facebook, etc.)
  • Unicorn internships (Stripe, Scale AI, etc.)
  • Startup internships (Cursor, Cognition, etc.)
  • Quant internships (Jane Street, HRT, Citadel, etc.)
  • Competitive programming experience (ICPC, etc)
  • Investing experience (DRF, Contrary, etc.)
  • Startup experience (raising a seed round, etc.)
  • Leadership experience (technical clubs, entrepreneurship clubs, etc.)
  • Research involvement (publications at international conferences)

Master's

What we look for:

PhD

What we look for:

  • Exceptional research involvement (exclusively first-author publications at top conferences, like NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, etc.)
  • Ability to defend research decisions, dive deeply into focus area for the PhD
  • Research internships at frontier labs (OpenAI, Anthropic, DeepMind, etc.)
  • Quant research internships (Jane Street, HRT, Citadel, etc.)
  • Leadership experience (mentoring undergrads, master's students, teaching experience)
  • Research output (number of papers, h-index, etc.)

Early Career (Tech)

What we look for:

  • Experience working in a research-focused role (Research Scientist, Research Engineer, ML Engineer)
  • Experience working in a software-focused role (Software Engineer, Product Manager)
  • Exceptional ownership in projects, including both technical/non-technical abilities
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively
  • Strong motivation to work in a fast-paced environment with high ownership, build a startup, or invest in startups

Early Career (Quant)

What we look for:

  • Experience working in a quant-focused role (Quant Trader, Quant Researcher)
  • Experience working in a software-focused role (Quant Developer, Software Engineer)
  • Exceptional technical ability, including the ability to learn new concepts quickly
  • Exceptional work ethic, including the ability to push through problems at any point in time
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively
  • Strong motivation to work in a fast-paced environment with high ownership, build a startup, or invest in startups
